Environment
Reveal 2
Situation
Unable to open the 'Reveal Rights' menu, from the 'Administrator' option on the Menu Bar.
Resolution
Generally, there are two reasons that the Rights Manager cannot be opened:
1) The option is grayed out.
If 'Reveal Rights' and other options are grayed out, and cannot be selected, then it is likely that Reveal has not connected to Groupwise. Refer to page 9 of the Reveal Manual to read about Connecting to a Groupwise System:2) Selecting the 'Reveal Rights' option does nothing.

Options Grayed out in RevealIf, after successfully connecting to the GW system, with a user that has all the Admin rights, 'Reveal Rights' still doesn't open, continue to step 2.
Normally, it takes a moment to open the Rights Manager in Reveal. If it doesn't open after a few minutes, this means that the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 or higher is not installed.Note: The Reveal install wizard will not allow Reveal to be installed unless the .Net Framework 3.5 SP 1 or higher has be installed first. However, if the.NET Framework has been uninstalled after having installed Reveal 2, the Rights Manager will not open.
Reveal 2 requires the .NET Framework 3.5 SP 1 or greater to run the Rights Manager. The following link provides a webpage where you can download the .NET Framework 3.5, and then you will have to update to Service Pack 1:If the problems still persists, or other problems occur call Reveal Support.
