Situation
How do I scan an event one direction but not another
Resolution
Example: I have a text filter that I need for inbound messages but it is blocking outbound messages.
You can control all the "per event" scanning with GWAVA4 now. If you have something in your SPAM setting that has to remain there to catch and flag incoming mail for SPAM, but you need to be able to send outbound mail you can do that by:
Go to:
- Server scanner management
- "Server name"
- Manage scanners
- "Scanner name"
- General settings
- General configuration
In the configuration page of the General configuration menu click on "Show Per event scan direction settings". This will bring up the options for each event and each scan direction.
Set the correct configuration for your environment and click save.
