Where are the GWAVA 4 logs located?

Situation

The GWAVA Support Engineer has asked for the GWAVA logs.  Where are the GWAVA logs located?

Resolution


The GWAVA logs are located in the same location for every installation.  The path for the logs when GWAVA is installed on NetWare can be anywhere.  This depends on where GWAVA was installed:
NetWare:
../gwava4/services/logs
On Linux, the install is always the same and cannot be changed.

Linux:
/opt/beginfinite/gwava/services/logs
There should be at least 8 folders in this directory.  They are:
GWAVAUPD
asengine
autoblocker
gwava
gwavaman
gwavapoa
gwavaqms
gwvgwia
gwvrelay
Depending on the type of scanner installed, there could be two additional folders:
gwvsmtp
wasp
agent_MTA_<Engine_ID>
Inside of each of these folders is another folder called support.  The log files in the support folder contain diagnostic logging which is most beneficial.  The GWAVA Support Engineer will ask for the logs in the support folder.
