Environment

Reload all versions SLES 11 SP2 using NSS volumes

Situation

Reload NCP mounts to POs on SLES11 SP2 on NSS volumes fail or lose connectivity. One customer observed that eDirectory would crash, which was causing the mount to fail.  We could re-create the issue outside of Reload by manually creating an NCP mount to the PO, changing to the mount directory, and issuing an "ls" command. This occurred intermittently.
 

Resolution

It's an issue with NSS on SLES11 SP2.  Novell has created a patch for this issue that will eventually be incorporated into the next support pack.
