Environment
Reload 3
Situation
I am trying to install Reload manually but the install won't run until the current version of Reload in uninstalled. When I try to run the uninstall, I receive the following error:
insserv: /etc/init.d/reloadd: No such file or directory
error: %preun(beginfinite-reload-3.0.000-1.i586) scriptlet failed, exit status 1
insserv: /etc/init.d/reloadd: No such file or directory
error: %preun(beginfinite-reload-3.0.000-1.i586) scriptlet failed, exit status 1
Resolution
In some situations the above error can be received after running rpm -e beginfinite-reload. To uninstall Reload run the same command again with --noscripts add to the end;
rpm -e beginfinite-reload --noscripts
This command will uninstall Reload, now the latest version of Reload can be installed
