Migration Toolkit
Situation
I have reviewed the windows requirements but it does not mention minimum or recommended resources (memory, cpu, disk space). Does the toolkit temporarily or permanently store any data on the windows machine during or after the user or email migrations?
Resolution
A workstation that will run the Migration Toolkit should have the following minimum requirements:
Memory: 4 Gigabytes of Memory
Disk: 5 Gigabytes of Disk Space
CPU: 1 Core per migration thread, the default number of migration threads is 2 and the maximum threads is 5
The disk is used by the Migration Toolkit while it converts attachments. The Migration Toolkit also makes detailed log files that require disk space.
