Retain Publisher Crashes - And Exporting is Slow

Situation

The Retain Publisher software crashes intermittently.
The Retain Publisher Publisher software shows 100 items being archived, and paused for a long while before processing another 100 items.

Resolution

This was a problem with corrupt indexes in the database the customer was sending Retain data to.

In this scenario the database was Oracle 11. The index that needed to be rebuilt was for the t_message table. The Database Administrator (DBA) performed this action, and after doing so the Retain Publisher worked perfectly.
