Situation
The Worker web interface is displaying an error message, "FATAL ERROR ! Exception on mailbox: [mailbox name]..." but the error count did not increase. Why is that?
Resolution
The mailbox on which this error was reported was a disabled account, which means it cannot be logged into. Unlike the GroupWise and Exchange profiles, the Google Apps profile does not yet have the option to select how disabled mailbox errors should be handled (error, warn, ignore).
Thus, by default, we chose to report an error but NOT have it increment the job error count.
An enhancement request is logged for this future functionality.
