Environment
Retain
Situation
Which version of Windows Server should I install my Retain Server on?
Resolution
There are memory limitations on certain types of Windows Servers which cap memory to 32 GB. 32 GB of RAM should be sufficient memory for most setups when your SQL database has a dedicated server. However, when your SQL database is installed on the Retain server, or you are archiving 1000+ users, you may want to exceed 32 GB of RAM on your Retain Server.
