Situation
When trying to send to an *af.mil domain, there is a large amount
of MX records that it seems to go through and never gets delivered.
Instead the sender gets a 550 Host Unknown returned by the
GWIA
Resolution
A work around for getting email to an us.af.mil emailserver can be set by adding an entry in the local hosts files on our GWIAs that points to us.af.mil to an IP address on one of their email servers.
Only one IP address per host name can be added in a local hosts file so as long as the one email server is up they can send email to us.af.mil email addresses.
