Sentinel 8 install failing on RedHat 6.7

Environment

NetIQ Sentinel 8.0 Sentinel Server

Situation

Getting the below error during a traditional Sentinel 8 install on a Redhat 6.7 box.

This computer reports 1595 MB of memory and does not meet the 2048 MB

minimum memory requirement. You cannot install Sentinel on this computer until all minimum requirements are met.



The server actually has more than enough memory to continue the install.  16 G of memory .

Resolution

There is a known bug in RHEL.

Download and apply the patch to the RedHat box.  Once the patch has been applied the installer will recognize the memory and complete the install with no further problems. 

Cause

If the Sentinel installer cannot recognize the minimum amount of memory needed to continue to the next step, the install will fail.
