Problems after upgrading SSPR Appliance from 4.0.0.2 to 4.1

Situation

Unpredictable results have been observed when using the automatic update feature of the SSPR appliance to upgrade from SSPR 4.0.0.2 to 4.1.  
Data lost after upgrading from SSPR 4.0.0.2 with the auto update.

Resolution

Upgrading from SSPR 4.0.0.2 to SSPR 4.1 through the integrated updater is not supported, and has been known to yield unpredictable results. To upgrade from SSPR 4.0.0.2 to 4.1, export the configuration , bring up a new image using the  4.1 appliance, and import the configuration exported from 4.0.0.2.
