Situation
When resetting the password for the "vaadmin" user via the Appliance Configuration console (port 9443), the following characters are prevent the password from being updated:

In addition, the following characters, if used in the vaadmin password prevent the vaadmin user from logging in to the appliance:

( ) * < >
In addition, the following characters, if used in the vaadmin password prevent the vaadmin user from logging in to the appliance:

Resolution
A fix for this issue is available in the Filr 3.1 Update.
Note: Since there is no 3.1 update for Filr Search or Filr MySQL appliances, this issue will be addressed on those appliances in the next patch update for these appliances.
