Environment

Novell GroupWise 2014 R2 Support Pack 1
Novell GroupWise 2014 R2 Support Pack 1 Hot Patch 1
Novell GroupWise 2014 R2 Support Pack 1 Hot Patch 2

Situation

When the client interface language is set to German and the default telephony provider is set to "default phone dialer" , GroupWise converts every occurrence of a # character followed by numbers into a telephone link. This also applies to RGB color codes in the source code of HTML mails. Because of this, some e-mails are displayed incorrectly.

Resolution

This has been reported to our engineering. As a workaround you can set Default Telephone Provider to None from a GW client or you can push this as a change of Windows registry settings:

HK_CU -> Software -> Novell -> GroupWise -> Client -> Setup

Here is DefaultTelephonyProvider key which you set to None.
