Changing the recurrence setting for an appointment to custom remembers the previous recurrence setting

Situation

When creating a new appointment, click on the Recurrence menu and select something such as Yearly.  Then immediately change it to Custom.  Select one or more dates and send the appointment.  Once it is received, it will show the dates corresponding to the first selection of Yearly and not the custom dates.
