NSS quota: amount can't be negative.

Environment

Open Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 2 {OES11SP2)
Open Enterprise Server 2015 Service Pack  1 (OES2015SP1)

Situation

When looking at user quota information, the values for used quota space are negative. /var/log/messages shows an error similar to the following: 
kernel: [1434205.951833] NSS: user used amount can't be negative.

Resolution

A fix for this issue is available. Please contact Micro Focus Customer Care to obtain the fix. This issue is also fixed in the January '17 Scheduled Maintenance Patch release for OES 11 & OES 2015.

Cause


Volume level User quota feature as such does not validate the amount being set.
