Situation
The Change Guardian Agent for Windows service will not start after a successful installation.
The CG Agent for Windows fails to start after installation then is able to start a week later.
CG Agent service fails to start after installation.
Resolution
On the target installation machine modify the antivirus or scanning software to allow the full installation of the Change Guardian for Windows agent.
Cause
Previously installed anti-virus or scanning software is preventing the full installation of the Change Guardian for Windows Agent. The software can allow the agent to be installed however it restricts the service from starting.
Additional Information
This issue was experienced while using Bit 9 software.
