Situation
When attempting to update the Panda Security Anti-Virus software, the update stops before the process completes.
Resolution
Contact Panda Security for a fix, which reportedly unloads the c:\windows\system32\drivers\psinfile.sys driver from memory before attempting to stop the protection service itself.
Cause
The process for removing the Panda drivers fails when it cannot stop the resident PSINFile.sys driver.
Additional Information
The PSINFile.sys minifilter belongs to the "FSFilter Anti-Virus" Microsoft category, and starts automatically.
