Reconfiguring the Filr Search appliances overwrites applied patches

If the Filr Search appliance is re-configured from the Virtual Appliance configuration interface (accessible via port 9443), any previously applied lucene-specific patches get overwritten.

For example, if running the Filr Security Update 2 (Search-2.0.0.417) and using the reconfigure option, the patch for KB 7017699 is overwritten.

A fix for this issue is available in the Filr 2.0 Hot Patch 3, available via the Novell Patch Finder.
