Situation
When trying to create a new partition with iManager, the operation takes a long time and eventually fails with the following error:
"Can't perform the operation. All the servers in the replica list are not up."
This happens even though all servers are in sync and ndsrepair -E doesn't show any error.
Resolution
This problem will occur if iManager is unable to contact the servers involved in the partition operation. If iManager workstation is used, the workstation itself should be able to access each of the servers involved via NCP. If firewall settings prevent the servers from being reached on port 524 (or whatever port is configured for NCP), the above mentioned error is displayed.
To fix the issue, either open the ports on the workstation or run the operation from an iManager server that has direct access to all servers involved in the partition operation.
