Automatic Email Notifications not sent, "Emails will not be sent. Valid SMTP settings required."

You may configure PlateSpin to send email notifications about status and progress to specified email addresses.

If you type SMTP settings with a blank password, emails will not be sent.
On Protect, Forge, as well as Migrate Web Console, you would get the warning message "Emails will not be sent. Valid SMTP settings required.":

Do not leave the password field blank. You may need to configure a password for your SMTP server.

PlateSpin requires that you provide a user name and password to authenticate to an SMTP server by design, these fields cannot be left blank.
