Situation
The installation of a patch fails.
Remark: patches can be downloaded from https://download.novell.com/patch/finder/ .
Problem:
During the installation of a patch, it fails with the below error message:Error occurred during the upgrade.
Error message: An error occurred in the Operations Framework server:
Cannot open database "ofx" requested by the login. The login failed.
Login failed for user 'sa'.
Resolution
Verify that the path to the patch
files do not include any special characters or breaking spaces. Rename the folder(s) that the patch files have been exacted to accordingly.
Then re-attempt patch installation.
Cause
The patch may have been extracted to a location for which the path contains some special characters or breaking spaces.
These characters are not handled correctly by the patch installation scripts.
