Situation
When using a simple or advanced search to search on numbers entered on a custom form's 'number' type field, no results are found even though there are entries that match this search.
For example:
You have an entry with a "number" type field called "Account Number" set to "878678".
When you use the search box in top right corner to search for "878678", no results are found.
When you user the advanced search to select the custom form and the "Account Number" field value set to "878678", no results are found.

Resolution
A patch is available to correct this problem for Novell Vibe 4.0.1. Please contact Micro Focus customer care with reference to this TID and request the patch for your site.
Note: With the fix in place, a re-index of the folders which contain entries with number type fields is required.
