Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.4
Situation
When upgrading to ZCM 11.4.x, older System Updates are superseded.
If a managed device is assigned a now superseded System Update, the device may be instructed to apply the latest system update without a direct assignment.
Resolution
This is not expected to occur once all ZCM Primary Servers are fully upgraded to ZCM 11.4.1 or later.
To avoid the issue, remove all existing System Update Deployments prior to upgrading to ZCM 11.4.x.
If the assignments are not removed prior and the issue is currently being experienced, remove both the superseded and current System Update.
The current System Update can then be re-imported into the System.
If there is a need to retain the old System Update assignments and they cannot be removed, Contact ZENworks Technical Support to receive an FTF for ZCM 11.4.0 servers.
