Environment

Novell GroupWise 2014
Novell GroupWise 2014 R2

Situation

Making changes within the GroupWise Administration program to a user object can under specific circumstances cause an error D105 "Directory Services Data Missing" when attempting to send messages to or login as that user

Resolution

In times where this has been seen, two post offices were running on the same server.   The POA's for each post office were bound to separate IP addresses but the ports for the POA's were identical.

1)  Change the ports for one of the two POA's running on the same server to be different that the other.
2)  Rebuild the Post Office database for the user being affected

Cause

The administrative messages that were being created for both post offices when changes to the user were made were arriving to a single post office.  This caused the user FID to be removed at the post office level.
