iOS device and Mac Calendar App causes duplicate Reminders folders in GroupWise when using the Calendar Server CALDAV solution

Setting up a CALDAV account on iOS devices or in the Mac Calendar App will cause duplicating Reminders folders to be added to the GroupWise calendar.

They will show up as sub-folders under the Calendar and are named Reminders, Reminders~1, Reminders~2, or DEFAULT_TASK_CALENDAR_NAME,  DEFAULT_TASK_CALENDAR_NAME~1 etc.


At this point we do not support reminders from iOS devices or the Mac Calendar App so the resolution is to turn them off on either platform.

iOS = Settings > Mail Contacts Calendars > then select the CALDAV account and turn off Reminders.
Mac Calendar App = Calendar > Accounts > Open the Calendar Account > Uncheck Reminders

This will prevent new Reminder folders from being created.  Manual deletion is needed to remove those that have already been created.


We do not support Reminders from iOS or the Mac Calendar App at this point.  The default CALDAV configuration on iOS devices and the Mac Calendar App turns reminders on causing the creation of the duplicating folders.
