OES2015, NSSMU, StampIO: Error 22 (invalid argument) reading at 0 of device sdc

Customer is trying to initialize a device for OES 2015 using NSSMU. SUSE itself can format the array and create a volume with no problem.  However, when trying to initialize the device (sdc) with NSSMU, it appears that it initialized the drive, but if back out, then select the device again, it says that it is not initialized,..

The log reads:

sdc:  unknown partition table
StampIO:  Error 22 (invalid argument) reading at 0 of device sdc

Changed the logical/physical sector size to 512B.
