Situation
Error in Forgotten Password Module
Error 5033 - the configuration is invalid or corruptResolution
There are two possible issues that may generate this error.
1. You have all verification methods marked as optional, but have not specified a Minimum Optional Required verification method (bottom of the slider box). If you have all verification methods marked as optional, but have a 0 (zero) in the Minimum Optional Required box, you will receive a 5033 error trying to use Forgotten Password.
2. You have a verification method marked as Required but the required configuration for that verification method has not been configured correctly. Such as defining the Required LDAP attributes, for the LDAP attribute verification method.
Add configuration for the missing verification method. In this case the error went away after adding a “Required LDAP Attribute” to the Default Forgotten Password policy. In Forgotten Password, Forgotten Password Policies, <policy>, Either set "LDAP attributes" to not used, in the "Verification Methods" section, or add the desired required LDAP attribute(s).
