Situation
On some systems with several thousand users registered via LDAP, the LDAP sync takes hours or days and may never seem to finish. During this process CPU spikes are observed on the database server.
Resolution
A fix for this issue is available in the Filr 1.2 Hot Patch 5 / Filr 2.0 Hot Patch 1, available via the Novell Patch Finder.
Cause
SQL queries that run on the set of users at the beginning of LDAP sync were expensive especially in case of user sets that were in the range of 20,000 and above.
Additional Information
Chunk size of users that get processed during LDAP sync was reduced to address this issue.
