Closed MTP Send link and B30C error shows under the GWIA web admin console for Message Transfer status

When the customer decides to set the GroupWise Domain MTA (The domain owns the GWIA also) to a "Message Transfer" protocol setting of "SSL Required" and also the "Message Transfer" setting is made on the GWIA to "SSL Required" and an GWIA MTP port set to a free port like 7102 and the MTA and the GWIA are restarted, the customer has the issue where internet e-mail stops SENDING out because the GWIA Web Admin Console, "MTP Status", the Message Transfer status section shows the SEND link CLOSED with a "Last Closure Reason" of "SSL Protocol is required for this connection (B30C)".

 

When the GWIA MTP port is left at the default of ZERO (0), indicating a file transfer protocol communication with the owning MTA, the problem is not experienced.
