System update 11.4 may appear hung without progress and non fatal error in the system update log.

Situation

ERROR (from ZENworks_Upgrade log.xml):

Unable to display package upgrade progress

java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 8

at com.novell.zenworks.configure.util.UpgradeUtils.getSystemUpdateStatus(UpgradeUtils.java:270)

at com.novell.zenworks.install.customcode.ZENUpdateLogParser.run(ZENUpdateLogParser.java:42)

Resolution

This error can be ignored. Do not assume that the update is hung. The show progress of packing install has failed, but the update progresses. This error does not cause any functional loss post system update.
