Agent manager fails with message "File does not exist"

Environment

NetIQ Change Guardian 4.2

Situation

  • After upgrading or installing Change Guardian 4.2, the agent manager won't work.
  • Agent manager deployment will fail with the following message:
xecuting execute_smbclient_command() spawn smbclient \\windows_dc.novell.com\C$ -U AD-DOMAIN\administrator -c dir "Program Files (x86)\NetIQ\Bootstrap\BootstrapService.exe"; exit; File does not exist:

Resolution

Install package samba-client on your Linux O.S

Cause

Agent manager needs samba-client to be able to copy files from the linux server to the windows server.
