Environment

Novell Filr 1.2
Novell Filr Desktop client 1.2

Situation

If backend filesystem is unreachable by the Filr server, the Desktop client is unable to handle the filesystem unreachable error code which causes all synchronized files to get deleted on the local client machine. When the backend filesystem connectivity is restored, all the files start downloading again.

Note: There is no data-loss in this case on the backend file system.

Resolution

An updated Desktop client with a fix for this issue is available in the Filr 1.2 Hot Patch 2, available via the Novell Patch Finder.
