iPrint Appliance Mobile App fails authentication with expired Self-Signed Cert

Environment

Novell iPrint Appliance

Situation

The iPrint Appliance is installed with a 2 year self-signed cert to allow for:
  • authentications from mobile devices
  • Renderer page within the Management Console to load
  • LDAP User Import to succeed
Once the self-signed cert expires, these operations fail.

Resolution

Novell is designing an easy method to renew the certificate. 

Workaround:
Email patchfeedback@novell.com with the subject of "Renew Self-Signed Cert".  An email reply will be sent with instructions to renew the certificate.

Additional Information

The manual steps to renew the self-signed cert are not included in this TID because Novell is interested in tracking how many servers are affected by this problem.  The number of email messages sent to patchfeedback@novell.com will help Novell prioritize this effort.
