Intermittent connection loss when using Google Chrome with self-signed certificate

When using Google Chrome browser version 44.0.2403.157 m (or v45) to access a Novell Filr site with a self-signed certificate, the connection is lost intermittently. User may see an unresponsive page or page not found and refreshing the page will bring up the self-signed certificate warning page  NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID with the option to Proceed to site (unsafe).

The problem seems to have been introduced in an interim release of Google Chrome 44.
A fix for this issue is available in Chrome version 46 (Version 46.0.2490.71 m at the time of writing this TID).
