eDirectory 8.8 SP8 does not support Redhat 7 non-root installations

RHEL 7

Situation

A non-root user is not supported on the RHEL 7 platform. RHEL 7 does not allow starting services for a non-root user. Therefore, eDirectory does not support a non-root user instance on this platform.

Cause

The following bug was raised by the eDirectory Team to Redhat Engineering:

It appears that Redhat plans to resolve this in RHEL 8.
