Remote Management attempt never prompts for Certificate Acceptance

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.3.2 Remote Management viewer
Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2.4 Remote Management device

Situation

  • Remote operator attempts to remote control a device
  • Remote Management dialog box is presented
  • Remote operator selects desired options and clicks OK button
  • Remote Management dialog box stays there
  • Remote operator is not asked to accept certificate

Resolution

Update the managed device to the same version as the primary server

Cause

The version of the Remote Management viewer doesn't work with the older version of the managed device. In one specific case, the Remote Management viewer was at version 11.3.2 and the managed device was at version 11.2.4.
