Novell iPrint Client for Windows 6.0.0
Situation
When clicking the "Add From File" button to upload a printer driver to the Macintosh driver repository, the following error is returned:
"%1 is not a valid win32 application"
Resolution
Install the iPrint Client version 6.10 or later.
OES11 SP2:
This version of the client can be placed on the iPrint server by applying the novell-iprint-client-6.7.0.20150629-0.6.1.noarch.rpm available here.
iPrint Appliance 1.1:
This version of the client can be placed on the iPrint server by applying Patch 2 for the iPrint Appliance.
Workaround 1: Upload the Mac ppd from a Macintosh machine using the following terminal command:
Workaround 2: Install the iPrint Client version 5.99 or earlier.
Uninstall the 6.0.0 iPrint Client. Install a previous version of the client.
Workaround 3: Upload from Windows 7 32 bit.
This problem is limited to the 64 bit architecture for Windows 7 and 8. 32 bit machines do not have this problem, even with the 6.0.0 iPrint client installed.
