Situation

The following error is observed in Vibe's appserver.log file when the LDAP attribute used for the Vibe account name is a non-string attribute:

java.lang.ClassCastException: [B cannot be cast to java.lang.String]

Resolution

A fix for this issue is available in the Vibe 4.0 Hot Patch 1, available via the Novell Patch Finder.
