Vibe Desktop client creates multiple conflicting files

Environment

Novell Vibe Desktop client 2.0

Situation

The Vibe Desktop client may generate multiple conflicting copies of a file on every subsequent sync if it detects the file has changed locally IF the file in question is a zero-byte file.

Creating a zero-byte file is usually done by: Right click in Windows Explorer and Select 'New Document'.

Resolution

A fix for this issue is available in the Vibe Desktop 2.0 (June 1, 2015), available via the Novell Downloads. With the fix in place, a zero-byte file will be detected and conflicting copies of the file will not be generated.
