Failed to send message to NPNS server [0x8922] - SSL connect failure

Environment

Novell GroupWise Messenger 3.0

Situation

Error when trying to connect to the NPNS server.
 
NPN Failed to send message to NPNS server [0x8922] - SSL connect failure.
 
Testing the SSL certificates from a test server works.
 
Testing the SSL certificates from the server in question gives the error:

openssl s_client -connect npns.novell.com:443 -CAfile CertificateAuthority.crt -cert npnsCertificate.crt -key npnsKey.pem

Resolution

Using a different ISP link worked. Something was being filtered between the Server and the NPNS server at Novell.
