Environment

Novell ZENworks Patch Management 11.3

Situation

Patches fail to cache.
novell-zenworks-configure -c CheckContentSystem reports patch related content items to be missing from the content repository

Error in loader-messages.log similar to:
"...

Resolution

This is working as to be expected.

Such broken content items do clear when the related patch succeeds to cache.

Cause

The patch subscription service fails to import the patch related content since the content failed to download. It creates a content item not actually referring to any existing file in the content repository.
