Environment
Novell Filr 1.1
Situation
In some instances, the MD5 Hash for files uploaded via the Desktop client may not get updated and result in a mismatch with the MD5 Hash for the file on the Filr server during the MD5 Checksum.
This may cause the following error in the Filr appserver.log file:
2015-03-16 14:17:40,403 ERROR [http-apr-8443-exec-10] [org.kablink.teaming.module.file.impl.FileModuleImpl] - Error verifying the file myfile.docx check sum for user [kablink,user1]. Expected: d9d89d74ef544c8ed5cdcad9d0af6f80; actual: 98ce8f0a7155ad79a0487d3aeb435524; size: 20992
This may cause the following error in the Filr appserver.log file:

Resolution
A fix for this issue is available in the Filr 1.1 Hot Patch 2, available via the Novell Patch Finder. With the fix in place, when there is a Checksum error, the Filr Desktop client will re-calculate the MD5 Hash for the file in question and attempt the upload again.
