.MSI installer package fails when launched from UNC path

Novell Client 2 SP3 for Windows (IR10)

Situation

A .MSI installer package fails when launched from UNC path. Running the same package from a mapped drive works as expected.

The problem happens only if the .MSI is not currently installed on the computer. If the .MSI is already installed the modify/remove options are presented as expected.

Resolution

The problem is corrected in Novell Client 2 SP3 for Windows (IR10a) or later.
