Situation

How to Reset Opal drive using FDE and Emergency Recovery

Resolution

Remove the drive from the machine and write down the PSID number. Reinsert the drive and boot machine from a the Emergency Recovery Disk.

Close the Recovery Application to see only the command prompt.
From the command prompt run the following command:
topal -rtp 0

Enter the PSID number at the prompt

The drive is now reset and machine can be reimaged.
