iManager error: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Received fatal alert: handshake_failure

Environment

Novell GroupWise 2014
Novell iManager 2.7

Situation

You have installed GroupWise Plugin and want to modify existing eDir user. After clicking on GroupWise tab, you get the SSL Handshake error.

Resolution

One of the reason for this error is that you have not yet configured a tab "GroupWise Configuration" tab. You need to provide GroupWise configuration information which enable iManager to login into GroupWise system and do changes like you do from webadmin console.
However, if you run some later GroupWise 2014 post SP1 builds - a build number higher than 118xxx or a bit earlier, then despite of having a correct GroupWise configuration, you get the same error again whilst the same configuration was working just fine.
This is due to changes we made in GroupWise code due to the "poodle" security issue where we disabled SSL protocol. You will need to get iManager plugin from a GroupWise 2014 code later or equal to the SP1 build number 118349.
Open a BugReport SR and ask for newer plugin NPM file - it shall have plugin build number 20141112.
