1.1 Enhancements and Software Fixes

Directory and Resource Administrator and Exchange Administrator 8.7.2 Hotfix 7015865 includes

software fixes that resolve several previous issues.

1.1.1 Performance Improvements

This hotfix includes the following performance improvements:

 The startup time improved. When the web console starts up there are no longer any

performance issues associated with checking the powers over development tasks.

 The Add User to Group operation takes less time to complete. (ENG337111)

 Usernames that include a "/" no longer generate an authorization error when managing users or

 Performing bulk Microsoft Exchange 2010 mailbox security operations for users no longer

generates an NT Security Descriptor error. (ENG332736)

 Running the DRA command line ea.exe no longer generates the following error message: Error

Creating the IDRARuleHelperFactory.80040154. (ENG337688)

 When you run the LogArchiveVolumeRepair tool to create a new volume or repair a faulty

volume, the tool no longer generates an error and fails to build the new volume. (ENG336462)

 DRA no longer stops unexpectedly when refreshing the accounts cache. (ENG337057)

 DRA no longer stops unexpectedly while performing a full cache refresh. (ENG336638)

1.1.2 DRA Recycle Bin Improvements

This version adds the following improvements to the DRA Recycle Bin:

 Deleted user accounts now behave as expected when sent to the DRA Recycle Bin. With this

version, after an incremental accounts cache refresh, deleted user accounts no longer disappear

from the Recycle Bin. (ENG336702)

 Support for auditing DRA Recycle Bin objects. (ENG334834)

1.1.3 Support for Using the Web Console to Set Delivery Restrictions for Groups

This version adds optimization support for the web console to improve its performance when

processing group delivery restrictions. (ENG336221)

1.1.4 Improvement to the in.container Value

When you set the in.container value in a pre-task trigger, DRA creates the object in the new

container. (ENG333039)

1.1.5 Support For GetInfo and SetInfo for Dynamic Distribution Groups

This version adds support for GetInfo and SetInfo for the recipient filter parameter for your Dynamic

Distribution Groups. (ENG336987)

1.1.6 Support for Automatic Mailbox Distribution

This version adds support in the DRA console for allowing Exchange Server 2010 or later to

automatically choose a mailbox database when you create or move a mailbox. If you have previously

configured a pre-task trigger to create automatic mailboxes, you must disable that pre-task trigger

and configure the option in the DRA console. (ENG333958)

Group in the Command Line

This version adds support for using the group1 MEMBERADD @GroupUsers(group2) syntax in the

command line to add or remove group members from one group to another. (ENG335515)

1.1.10 Expanded Support for Cloning Groups

This version adds support for cloning a group when logged in with an account other than the service

account as well as the option to copy the members of a cloned group. (ENG335733)

1.1.11 Support for Cloning Users

When cloning a user account, the email address of the source user account no longer copies to the

1.1.12 Support for X2KMailboxRights for Regular Distribution Groups

This version adds support for X2KGetMailboxRights and X2KSetMailboxRights for regular

1.1.13 Support for Updating a Virtual Attribute by Renaming the Associated Dynamic

Distribution Group Object

This version adds support for renaming a Dynamic Distribution Group and updating the associated

virtual attribute at the same time. (ENG337338)

1.1.14 Issue With AegisIntegration Registry Key Replication During MMS Sync

DRA now correctly replicates the AegisIntegration registry key during MMS sync. (ENG337379)

1.1.15 Custom Tool Fails to Send Emails to Multiple Users

Using the custom tool now properly sends emails to multiple users. (ENG321551)

1.1.16 Active Directory Collection Finishes With Warnings but Warnings Do Not

Appear in Logs

The event logs now correctly display information if the AD collector finishes with warnings.

1.1.17 Issue Renaming a Dynamic Distribution Group Object Using a Pre-Task

Trigger During a Creation Operation

Renaming a Dynamic Distribution Group object using a pre-task trigger during a create operation no

1.1.18 Date Sorting Not Available for the Changes Made By Report

The Changes Made By report now correctly sorts by date. (ENG336800)

1.1.19 Deleted Registry Values When Using the Configure Password Generation

Policies Wizard

When you start the Configure Password Generation Policies wizard, the PasswordPolicyGetInfo

operation no longer deletes and recreates the related registry values. Also, if you change any of the

values in the Password Settings window, the PasswordPolicySetInfo operation no longer deletes

and recreates the related registry values. (ENG337107)

1.1.20 Group Rules Correction

Group Rules in ActiveViews now use the term "All Groups" instead of “All Global.” (ENG311265)

1.1.21 The ARM File Always Connects to the Last Known Server

The ARM file now correctly connects to the server that you specified when saving the ARM file

instead of always connecting to the last known server. (ENG336890)

1.1.22 Cross Domain Members in Active Directory Groups Not Visible

DRA now correctly displays Group membership between two child domains. (ENG336349)

1.1.23 Group Search With Blank Search Field Only Returns Primary Manager Results

The DRA Web Console now properly displays all groups you manage according to your management

level in the search results of a group search with a blank search field. (ENG337076)

1.1.24 ARM Console Search Results Returning Duplicate Users

The ARM console no longer returns duplicate users in the search results. (ENG336980)

1.1.25 The User Friendly Paths Not Displaying Properly in the Enumeration

The web console now properly displays user friendly paths in the enumeration when you add delivery

restrictions. (ENG337365)

To install this hotfix, close all DRA consoles and run the DRA8702_Hotfix7015865.exe file on each

Administration server, DRA client computer, and web component computer.

4 Verifying the Installation

Complete the following steps to verify that the installation was successful.

To check the installed version:

1 Log on to the Administrator server computer with a local administrator account.

2 Open the DRA console.

3 Click Help > About > Version.

4 Under Console Hotfixes or Administration Server Hotfixes, verify that the version number is

7015865.
