Novell iPrint Appliance 1.1

Situation

A Quick Response Code (QR code) is generated for a printer. When trying to print from iOS or Android devices using the QR code, an error is displayed:

Error: "The printer <Printername> is not available for mobile print

The printer agent is mobile enabled. Adding the printer through the iPrint App works fine.

Resolution

An incorrect character was used when generating the QR code. Recreate the QR code using the correct syntax:

http://<DNS or IP of the iPrint server>/ipp/<PrinterAgentName>
Example:
http://iprintserver2.mycompany.com/ipp/HP4050floor3
