NetIQ Directory and Resource Administrator 8.7
Situation
When attempting to upgrade an existing NetIQ Directory and Resource Administrator 8.7 (DRA) installation to DRA 8.7, the install fails. When looking at the install log files, there will be an error:
CAQuietExec: Error 0x80070001: Command line returned an error.
CAQuietExec: Error 0x80070001: CAQuietExec Failed
CustomAction EX_RegisterCacheService returned actual error code 1603 (note this may not be 100% accurate if translation happened inside sandbox)

Resolution
Change the password for Active Directory Account used to run the NetIQ DRA Services to NOT include a SPACE nor Semi-colon {;} .
Cause
The various commands used to install the Mongo Database, which is the new Cache Service in DRA 8.7, are unable to pass the space or semi colon to AD. The install then fails because the installer is unable to set the correct account to run the NetIQ DRA Cache Service on the DRA Server.
