Setting the LDAP Server System Setting to "Disable ldap password changing" isn't working

Configure GroupWise System to disable LDAP Password Changing:
Administration Console | System | LDAP Servers | <ldapServer> | LDAP Authentication | Provide an ldap user and password and check Disable LDAP Password Changing.

After making this change and restarting all GroupWise services, users in the system can still make ldap password changes from WebAccess and the Client. It appears this setting has no affect on users.

WebAccess: Gear icon in the top right | Options | Password
Client: Tools | Options | Security | Password

At the time of writing this TID, there is no official workaround. This issue has been reported to Engineering.
